Why yes, it is a continuity error. Or is it? I prefer to think of it as our hero being so occasionally dim-witted he vorgets he has der gun. I nearly set about a wee series for Ikona and Bob, a sort of inversion of later Erato pairing Altos and Yartek, but with a clueless invader and a cynical defender. In the end the story never found itself, and probably for the better. This'll do fine.
